Aero | Optimize your ride

As a cyclist myself, I wanted to get more insight into the wind during my rides. Therefore, I created an algorithm & native app in Swift to visualize the live wind direction with respect to cycling routes. In the app, you can upload routes and see live wind conditions visualized as a gradient overlay on the route. The app's available on testflight.

Bite | Premium recipe platform

I founded Bite, a premium recipe platform during my studies. Bite was like the Spotify for recipes, where users can get a subscription on content from some of the best Dutch cookbook authors. We worked with 50+ creators and had thousands of users in the Netherlands.

Interaction-Aware Sampling-Based MPC with Learned Local Goal Predictions

I developed a deep learning model based on Social-VRNN and trained it on vessel trajectory data. I integrated the model into a robotics simulator for real time inference and ran experiments to showcase how the predictions can improve autonomous navigation in highly crowded environments, such as the canals of Amsterdam. The paper was published and nominated for best paper award at the International Symposium on Multi-Robot & Multi-Agent Systems in 2023
